Alexandre Regnault

Alexander Regnault was born in 1981 in Paris, France. He started his musical training at the age of three under the guidance of the mezzo soprano Arelys Regnault and the master Estrella Sandoval. He spent his childhood and adolescence travelling between South America and Europe, where he had the rare opportunity to meet and learn directly from renowned composers and masters of classical music, such as Antoine Duhamel (France), Ivor Osorio (Venezuela), Pedro Blanco (Málaga, Spain), Maria Jonas (Germany), Eduardo Soto (Venezuela), Jose Cano (Spain), and many others. This dynamic of constant study trips allowed him to access a wide range of musical aesthetic dimensions and diverse academic temperaments, acquiring a privileged education as a composer by combining classical sound expressions and the folk cultural courage of the old school simultaneously

In the catalogue of works by Alexandre Regnault we find his “Incidental Opera” L`Histoire de la Peur for symphony orchestra, polyphonic choir and soprano soloist, and it premiered at the Teresa Carreño Theater in Venezuela, with the Simón Bolívar Venezuelan Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by master Alfredo Rugeles. Symphonic Diary of Desolation, Mystic Symphony, Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra, five mystical adages, and The Symphonic Portraits, a series of more than two hundred symphonic aphorisms inspired by the contemplation of works of art from nine centuries of diverse schools and regions. On March 27, in collaboration with the renowned soprano Maria Brea and the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, Canada, he will premier his Symphonic Allegory for Soprano and Orchestra, the first aria of a larger work of 17 pieces written especially for Maria Brea’s voice. .
